nicole m boitos: live painting performance and exhibition
I am so lucky to do this again. February 24, 2013 I will be partnering up with Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo and Marco “Il Bue” Schiavo of the band Larsen for a live painting/improvised music performance at BTOMIC in La Spezia, Italy. The performance will mark the start of a solo painting exhibition in the space, featuring new members of my Masters portrait series as well as a new series inspired by my new life under East Anglian skies. teasers….eventually.

countdown to new life begins…
the final preparations for our move from the damp blanket of Vienna to the rolling skies of Cambridgeshire are in full swing - as are preparations for my exhibition and performance in La Spezia, Italy at the end of next month. trying out some new materials this time:

fast among the crumbs
and coins
saying little
or nothing at all
to withstand
that deepening stare
that whips up
a pass
through anonymous
but inviting
climes
and comes perched
despite
her critical stores
of boredom
One
frail shift
and that
brittle perch
comes undone
collapsing
one blink
at a time
into the low
opiated rumble
since departed from
her ears
once she really
snapped to, hissing
shit!
suddenly mindful
of the fresh
nail polish
she daintily avoids
smudging
despite her burning
cigarette
and mother’s
mothering calls
she could
be rising
again

into her room
